Ceremony Venue

Ceremonies at Lisnavagh

We are now taking bookings for 2023 and beyond.

Licensed for civil ceremonies, we offer two intimate and unique ceremony spaces, The Yew Walk and The Brick Barn, both within walking distance of the house.

Both places have a curiously exotic ambience with close proximity of lush vegetation, mature leafy trees and birdsong.

The Yew Walk

The Yew Walk ceremony space is a magical tree tunnel formed from 160 year old yew trees. There are few things more magical than finding yourself under a canopy of trees on some warm summer's evening to exchange vows amidst the bird song and fresh country air.

The Brick Barn

The Brick Barn constructed with red bricks that were baked on the Lisnavagh estate over 160 years ago, with a dash of modern ingenuity, the brick-fronted reservoir now serves as a charming location for the exchange of vows. Light floods into the circular structure between the twelve-foot high walls and the conical roof, which is shaped almost like a traditional Vietnamese rice hat.

Private Hire

Lisnavagh offers both ceremony spaces on a private hire basis excluding the dinner reception should you have planned to have this elsewhere.

What our clients say

"My husband and I were married November 12, 2022 at Lisnavagh House and it was an experience we will never forget. Emily and William were wonderful hosts, so helpful throughout our entire wedding planning process. From the ceremony and reception spaces, to the guest rentals and sleeping quarters, photography, food, makeup and hair artists, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue.

When we arrived we were greeted into the home by Emily, whom we had been consulting with during the planning process. The house is AMAZING. If you are looking for the perfect cozy, historical, unique wedding venue this is IT.

Our guests were wowed with the house and grounds. Most stayed in the stables courtyard which is conveniently located near the garden wing, where we had our reception. They would describe the stables as perfect for couples, rustic, comfortable and convenient. Other guests opted to rent cottages on the property, which was great for housing families or bigger groups traveling together. The grounds themselves are stunning! We’ve never seen anything like it. Our friends and family were able to walk the grounds and check out the real Irish countryside. So many good photo opportunities!

The interior of the house is phenomenal. Each room is different, beautiful, and unique in its own way. We were lucky enough to stay in the Oak room which has THE most comfortable 4 poster bed, and boasts a giant bathtub- epsom salt provided! It felt like being in a spa. And it was marvellous for taking photos of the bridal party getting ready for the big day!

Lisnavagh House was able to provide us with information from catering to music and decor, all of which made our day so special.

The Brick Barn where we held the ceremony was ethereal. Between the decor and the space itself, it was exactly what we had envisioned. The Garden wing was also beautiful, big with plenty of light, offering many options for decor.

All in all it was a 10/10 for us. Thank you so much to Emily and William for being so accommodating and making our wedding weekend so special!"

Lisnavagh is honestly the most beautiful wedding venue and our guests are still speaking about how wonderful it all was.It was a tough time with all the rescheduling and at times we weren’t sure what the best thing to do was but I’m so happy we decided to hold out and have the wedding of our dreams. You, William and every person we interacted with on the weekend were just amazing! You made me, Gavin and all our guests feel so welcome and at home. It’s truly a magical place."

"We had the most wonderful weekend at Lisnavagh House on the occasion of my daughter Clares wedding to Matthew. Everything was perfect, the house, the grounds and the exceptional hospitality. Clare grew up in the UK with Irish roots and really wanted to find a venue that reflected that, and she did. Some of Matt and Clare's friends had never visited Ireland before and they all said how much they loved it along with the opportunity to all stay together in one place.I would like to say a special thank you to Ann & Brid for their patience and friendliness as we popped in and out of the kitchen to borrow scissors etc the morning of the wedding. Breakfast was just fabulous. Anns scones were the best we have ever tasted. I will have to go and practice a bit more!Thank you all for everything, and not forgetting Niamh who throughout the year has met Clares every enquiry with a “Yes”. We couldn't have wished for a better weekend. We hope to revisit Lisnavagh"

We will definitely be back! Lots of love xxx"
