Yoga Sleep Programme

HATHA YOGA, RELAXATION & MEDITATION

FRIDAY Arrival from 3pm to settling in… Class: 5.30pm-7pm: Gentle hatha yoga to help you unwind from the week. Movement with attention to breathing will limber up joints and tissues. Yoga leads to a short seated meditation, guided relaxation and closing sequence prepare you for restful sleep. 7.30pm Dinner

SATURDAY A light breakfast will be available prior to class. Class: 9am-11:00am – Hatha yoga: Thorough warm-up, moving sequences, yoga postures, wind-down leading to a short meditation, and relaxation. Correct breathing is taught to support the mindful nature of the practice. 12 noon - Lunch, followed by garden walks, longer walks, siestas and fireside reading. Or treat yourself by booking a massage on site! 4:30pm – 6pm –Restorative class. Short warm up, gentle practice including longer-held seats. The quietening of the mind leads naturally to a seated meditation. Auto-suggestive relaxation with visualisation is introduced as a useful and powerful technique that can be applied beyond the mat.

7.00pm Dinner

SUNDAY A light breakfast from 8am Class: 9am-11am – Yoga practice brings together the sequences and asana taught on Friday and Saturday. Relaxation and closing sequence leaves you refreshed. 12 noon – Brunch and depart by 3pm.
