The Ceremony Space
Licenced for civil ceremonies, the Brick Barn and the Yew Walk are Lisnavagh’s unique ceremonial locations for exchanging vows. Only a three-minute walk from the house, and easily accessible by car, or pony and trap, both places have a curiously exotic ambience with close proximity of lush vegetation, mature leafy trees and birdsong.
The I Do’s
The Yew Walk
The Yew Walk ceremony space is a magical tree tunnell formed from 160 year old yew trees. There are few things more magical than finding yourself under a canopy of trees on some warm summers evening to exhange vows amidst the bird song and fresh country air.
The Yew Walk can accommodate up to 170 guests and the alter can be styled accordingly.
The Brick Barn
Constructed with red bricks that were baked on the Lisnavagh estate over 160 years ago, with a dash of modern ingenuity, the brick-fronted reservoir now serves as a charming location for the exchange of vows. Light floods into the circular structure between the twelve-foot high walls and the conical roof, which is shaped almost like a traditional Vietnamese rice hat.

DRINKS ON THE LAWN
Following the wedding ceremony, drinks and canapes can be served on the lawn. However, should the weather misbehave, both the Library and the Schoolroom in Lisnavagh are perfect for a drinks reception.
DINNER IN THE GARDEN WING
With a capacity for up to 170 guests, the Garden Wing exudes both grandeur and tradition. Breath taking in both size and splendour, with its twenty-foot high ceilings and a hand crafted roof made from timber grown on the historic estate, this space for celebrations is more than big: it’s spectacular. With light flooding into the vast structure through sash windows, embracing views of herbaceous boarders and mature magnolia trees, the affect is fresh and dazzling.
Lisnavagh works with a variety of caterers who can design your wedding menu to your exact specification, whether it’s a five course formal dinner or a more informal BBQ or Hog Roast.
To accommodate decorating, the team at Lisnavagh can arrange access to the Garden Wing during the week before the wedding, diary provided. The Lisnavagh team can also receive deliveries on behalf of the couples the week before the wedding.
The dance floor is in the Garden Wing, next to the adjoining Beaters Bar, which takes guests back in time with a rustic flagstone floor and a cosy snug by the fire.
Small is Beautiful
For couples seeking a wedding of intimate numbers, Lisnavagh can host a midweek wedding to seat up to 35 guests in the Dining Room, Library or School room. We will be delighted to discuss options with you.
The Library is perfect for champagne reception and The Schoolroom is ideal for small wedding ceremonies should the weather misbehave! There are open log fires throughout and direct access to the formal gardens.
We would be delighted to talk to you about your wedding plans. The team at Lisnavagh are here to make your day truly memorable. As you sit in the oak-panelled Library and look out over the grounds we hope that you will soon realise that you have found the perfect venue.
