This kind of dining is all about being easy going … guests are encouraged to soak up the history in the library at Lisnavagh - which is very special, books, portraits and two large red sofas make up the room, along with a roaring fire, the mantle piece of which was once the architrave over the original front door to Lisnavagh house - before settling down to our home cooking using ingredients from local and organic suppliers.
Supper is served in the dining room, and though the rooms are formal, guests are encouraged to relax and be inspired by the art, the views from the historic windows … and best of all by the company, as guests get to know each other, sitting around one big table for a culinary adventure.
William and Emily are very much part of the team and enjoy mingling with the guests to chat about the food, wine and the house history … whatever conversation arises. The whole idea is for guests feel at ease and well fed at Lisnavagh House.
